I’ve always been drawn to the camera—both as a tool and as an aesthetic.

My first Fuji digital in 2004 traveled with me to Australia, capturing the thrill of seeing the world through a new lens. A few years later, at my small mountain liberal arts college, I took a course called Lens and Landscape, where I first began pairing my love of travel and the outdoors with photography. At 19, I bought an old Nikon and lugged it around my travels through South Africa while spending a semester there.

At 22, I bought my first DSLR—a Canon 5D Mark II—and carried it with me to Asia while teaching English in China.

Since then, photography has been a creative thread I return to again and again. Some seasons, the camera gathers dust. In others, I take it everywhere, chasing light, landscapes, and moments that make me pause.

This section is less about polished perfection and more about sharing what inspires me—images and videos that reflect where I’ve been, what I’ve noticed, and how I’ve tried to see differently. Thanks for taking a look.

film + sound.

I love bringing the feeling of film to life just by adding the right music, or whatever I think feels right to me for those moments.
